  • Bo

    RYT 200

Bo discovered Ashtanga in 2024 under Jimmy at Yoga Shala Everett and quickly fell for the practice’s disciplined, evolving structure. He values the methodical rhythm of the Ashtanga sequence and the way each class becomes an opportunity to refine strength, focus, and presence.

Bo guides students to move with intention by pairing dynamic movement with mindful breath. His classes emphasize clear alignment cues, steady pacing, and practical variations so practitioners of all levels can build resilience, fluidity, and confidence. He creates a supportive space where discipline meets curiosity and progress is measured by consistency, not perfection.

Come practice with Bo to build a reliable daily practice, deepen your breath-movement connection, and leave class stronger, calmer, and more present.

  • Melissa

Originally from Puerto Rico, Melissa discovered yoga 18 years ago. Her yoga journey began on the island, where she explored Jivamukti, Dharma Mittra, and Restorative styles before eventually finding her way to Ashtanga. It was through Ashtanga that she discovered a sense of quietness and equanimity that continues to guide her today.

Melissa’s practice has been shaped under the guidance of Jennifer Periotti and Holly Menzie, with continued support from Angela Jamison. She has also had the opportunity to study with teachers such as David Swenson, Kino MacGregor, Sharath Jois, Sharmila Jois, and Saraswathi Jois. While in Mysore, Melissa studied anatomy with Dr. Robert Lamport to better understand how the practice connects to the body.

Melissa has always loved movement. Yoga grounds her, but she also finds joy in lifting weights and long, mindful walks through beaches, parks, and forests with her furry companions.

"Yoga is different for everyone—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. The Mysore style allows for an individual journey of growth, healing, and discovery. My role as a facilitator is to help students explore their own path, tune into their bodies, and cultivate awareness at their own pace."
